 Jimin’s POV

We both sat in my car and I turned to face her.

Jimin: So where do you want to go first?

Y/N: It’s your choice. Where do you generally go? 

Jimin: Well I-

Y/N: I know you would say the club but is there somewhere else?

Jimin: Well, I think I have a place.

I said and Smiled. I think she might like it.

I started to drive and she looked out the window. We started to talk and get to know each other better. We started with favourite Colours and soon got to know more and more.  I still had that one question lingering at the back of my head. About her past. I wanted to know, I wanted answers, but I was hesitant, It might make her uncomfortable.

Y/N: Okay so,  What’s your biggest fear?

She asked while looking at me. My gaze was fixed on the road still driving. I raised my brow.

Jimin: I don’t have a fear. I am not afraid of anything at all.

Y/N: That can’t be possibly true, everyone is afraid of something.

Jimin: But I am not. Do you have a fear?

Y/N looked out the window once again.

Y/N: Yes.

She said which made me confused. She never said just one word so I decided to question her further.

Jimin: And What is it?

Y/N: I am afraid of being hurt by someone.

Her words pierced my heart. I felt pain. Why? I glanced at her, she looked upset.

Jimin: Why are you afraid?

Y/N: Because it is very painful and it’s like a part of you has been removed. You feel like you will never feel happy ever again. The thought of It scares me. 

Jimin: It’s okay Y/N, you don’t need to be scared of that. I am right here if you need me.

I said and She snapped her head in my direction. Then I realised what I said.

Jimin: I mean, we are friends now, we should be there for each other right.

She sighed and nodded looking out the window again.

Y/N: So now tell me your fear.

Jimin: I told you I don’t have one.

Y/N: Maybe not now, you might have one in the future. Sometimes you get a phobia or you are afraid of something when you find someone precious to you.

Her statement made me confused.

Jimin: What?

Y/N: Your fear will surface when you find a person who is important to you. You will be scared to lose that person.

Jimin: Yeah right.

I scoffed.

Y/N: You might not believe me now but when it happens you will have to believe it.

I just shook my head and focused on the road once again. Soon we reached and got out of the car. Before Y/N could open the door I went to her side and opened it for her.

Y/N: Thank You.

She said and got out.

Y/N’s POV

I got outside and saw some kind of a forest a head of me. I gave Jimin a Confused look while he chuckled.

Jimin: We have to walk a bit to get there. It is a type of a hidden place. So let’s go.

I nodded he started to walk and I followed behind him. I was now walking beside him.

He stopped and turned to look at me.

Jimin: Close your eyes.

I was hesitant but I somehow trusted him so I closed my eyes. He took my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine. My heart started to beat at a faster rate. He might not realise it but his smallest of actions were affecting me deeply. I shouldn’t feel this way. I shook my head and he started to walk a head taking me with him.

We soon stopped. I could here splashing sounds which indicated that we were close to a water body. He let go of my hand. I was confused as my eyes were still closed. Did he just abandon me in the middle of nowhere?! I then suddenly felt a pair of hands on my eyes.

Jimin: Now slowly open your eyes.

I opened my eyes and saw darkness as he was still covering my eyes with his hands.

Y/N: I still can’t see anything you know.

Jimin: Oh sorry.

He laughed and slowly removed his hands. My eyes widened looking at the view.

Y/N: OH. MY. GOD!

It was a...

WATERFALL!

It was beautiful. I put my hand over my mouth, it was just Amazing. I loved such things. 

Third POV

Y/N walked towards the water leaving a smiling Jimin behind. Jimin was really worried if she would like it or not as Many girls are all about malls Or clubs but Y/N was different. She wasn’t like other girls and Jimin knew that now. 

Y/N on the other hand couldn’t take her eyes off of the Waterfall. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Hearing the sound of the waterfall made her feel happy. Jimin walked up to her and stood behind her. He leaned closer to her ear and whispered.

Jimin: So What do you think?

He whispered softly and Y/N just smiled. Jimin whispering would’ve affected her otherwise but right now she was too mesmerised by the Scenery in front of her.

Y/N: It is so beautiful. The sound of the waterfall is so Soothing and The waterfall looks so Calm and wonderful.

She said and Jimin Smiled. He felt the same way whenever he came here. He just found it beautiful.

Y/N: I never thought you would like places like this. 

Jimin: I come here when I am upset or angry. This place calms me down. I generally don’t bring anyone here, you might be the first person.

Y/N: Why did you bring me here though?

She asked and he was taken a back by her question. He didn’t know the answer himself.

Jimin: I don’t know. I just felt like it.

He said and Y/N smiled and Hummed. She walked closer to the water and sat on the near by rock. She took her shoes Of and put her feet in the water. She felt relieving sensations on her feet which made her smile.

Jimin sat on a rock next to her and admired Her Features. He then decided to ask her a question.

Jimin: Can I ask you something if you don’t mind?

She turned to him and smiled.

Y/N: Why would I mind? Go on, ask whatever you like.

She said looking back at the waterfall.

Jimin: Why did you change so much in high school, you were different in middle school. You were a complete badass, why did you change?

He asked and Y/N raised her brow. She looked at Jimin with a poker face.

Y/N: Jacob said this to you didn’t he?

Jimin slowly nodded and Y/N giggled.

Y/N: That boy has a Big mouth. 

She said and laughed.

Y/N: Let me tell you about my Past Jimin. 

Jimin widened his eyes. This was what he was waiting. She continued.

Y/N: My childhood. 

She said and he nodded telling her to carry on.

Y/N: I was the youngest in my family. I was really close with my mother and my siblings but my father...

She said and looked down. Jimin saw that she looked upset. She took a Deep breath and continued.

Y/N: I always felt neglected by him. He used to show a lot of love and affection towards my siblings but when it came to me he avoided me or simply said that he was busy. He never hugged me or tucked me in bed to sleep. He never showed any form of affection or care. I remember when I was 8, it was Christmas and...

Flashback~

{14 Years Ago}

Mr. Kang: Merry Christmas Jihye and Daniel. Look I have got presents for you!

He said taking two presents out.

Mr. Kang: Here, take this son.

He says as he walks over to 15 year old Daniel and gives him the gift. Then he walks over to Jihye and smiles.

Mr. Kang: And an Extra Special gift for my princess.

He said and handed her a big box. Jihye who was 13 years old Giggled and hugged him tightly.

Young Jihye: Thank You So much Dad. I love you so much.

Mr. Kang: I love you too princess.

Eight year old Y/N stood at the corner of the room. Her Father didn’t even say her name once. She walked upto her father and her Older sister.

Young Y/N: Where is my gift Daddy?

She asked while pouting and her father shifted his gaze towards her. He sighed and looked away.

Mr. Kang: I didn’t get you one. I don’t know what you like.

Mrs. Kang: You could Have asked her David!

Y/N’s Mother spoke sternly and her father looked down in guilt.

Mr. Kang: I-I was busy.

He said and tears started to form in Y/N’s eyes.

Young Y/N: It’s Okay Mommy, daddy must be busy. I understand.

She said and she ran to her room, tears streaming down her cheeks. Her Mom called behind her.

Mrs.Kang: Y/N-AH! DON’T GET UPSET! LISTEN TO ME SWEETHEART! COME HERE BABY! PLEASE Y/N!

But Y/N ignored her and ran to her room closing the door behind her.

Y/N’s Mom turned to her husband.

Mrs. Kang: What’s wrong with you David?! She is just 8! And she is your daughter! Why can’t you ever treat her better?!

She said and Stomped away.

Mr. Kang: HONEY! WAIT I CAN EXPLAIN! LISTEN TO ME! AISH!

He said and walked to his Office in frustration.

Daniel and Jinhye loved their little sister too much. They didn’t care about the gifts, after seeing her cry the gifts didn’t matter to them. Both of them went to her room. They knocked.

Young Y/N: Please leave me Alone.

She sobbed and Both their eyes softened.

Young Daniel: So You don’t want to see the gifts your Oppa and Unnie have got for you?

He said and Jihye giggled.

Young Jihye: I picked it up my self for my Adorable little sister. Don’t you want to see it?

They heard the door unlocking the door. The door opened revealing Y/N Rubbing her teary eyes. Both Jihye and Daniel Hugged her tightly.

Young Jihye: Don’t cry Sweetie, It will all be okay. We are here for you always.

Young Daniel: We love you a lot Baby sis, don’t cry okay. We don’t like to see you cry.

Young Y/N: Why doesn’t daddy love me, did I do something wrong. I will apologise. Just tell him not to hate me.

She sobbed into Daniels Chest while Jihye Caressed her back trying to calm her down. Daniel being the eldest knew the exact reason why his father behaved this way towards her but he could never let her know. She was too young and fragile to know the reason.

Young Daniel: He doesn’t hate you Baby Sis, it is just that he has just never actually got enough time to spend with you. That’s why he doesn’t know much about you. But I can assure you that we all love you a lot.

Young Jihye: Now show us that Beautiful Smile.

She looked at them and Smiled. They hugged again.

Mrs. Kang: Hugging without me?

She asked standing by the door. She came to them and joined the hug.

Mrs. Kang: This world is a very dangerous and cruel place. All of you promise me a That you will be each other’s support. Never let go of each other. Even when the whole world is Against you, you all will stay by each other. Promise me right now.

Young Y/N, Daniel and Jihye: We promise Mom.

Mrs. Kang: I love you my babies. Especially you my little angel. Never think that we don’t love you. We all love you more than anything in this whole world.

She pecked Y/N’s Forehead and she giggled.

Young Y/N: Thank You mommy, Oppa and Unnie. I love you guys too.

End of Flashback~

Y/N recalled her past and Jimin was listening to her carefully. He could feel her pain now. He felt bad, he didn’t feel sympathy but rather felt pain for not being there. Though he couldn’t possibly be there but he still felt guilt.

Y/N: The reason why I was a bit cold in middle school was because I didn’t trust anyone. My father treated me terribly. He was ashamed of having me as his daughter. I never thought anyone would like me. Therefore I maintained my distance. I used to sit in the corner of the class and be lost in my own world.

She sighed looking at the waterfall and continued.

Y/N: But when I got into High school, I thought about taking a chance. My mother always used to say, “take a leap of faith, let fate take its decision. Some things may surprise you.” 

She smiled remembering her mother’s words.

Jimin: Your mother must be an amazing person.

Y/N: She definitely was. The most Elegant, most Outspoken and Wise person I knew. I always wanted to be like her. When I got into high school. I took her advice and let fate takes its decision for me. To be honest it did because during Summer Break, I met Jaehyun. I didn’t know he was from the same school as me, though he was very popular. I never paid much attention. We became really close and soon he became that one person I relied on. And that’s when I decided to change myself, to become more happy and making others happy. Most importantly Enjoying the little things. You realise so many things when you take things positively rather than negatively. I am happier this way.

Jimin: Where is your father now?

Y/N: He lives in his Big mansion along with my sister and My brother. I moved out after my mother’s death. I couldn’t live in that negativity, I felt suffocated. That house reminded me a lot of my mother, so I started to hallucinate sometimes that she was there. Therefore I moved out for my mental health. You know what my dream is Jimin?

Jimin Shook his head and Y/N Chuckled bitterly.

Y/N: I always wanted to become an Idol. I have been working hard for years now. My mother was really proud of me, she wanted me to follow my dream and walk on my own path. One day I decided to tell my father my and thought That for the first time ever he would be proud of me. But I was wrong. He was mad and disappointed. He hated me even more than before. He took me as a disgrace and a Disappointment. He said that he wished that I wasn’t his daughter. After my mother’s death I had no one to support me. So he took the advantage and used to yell at me everyday. It hurt a lot. He never told me why he hated me. I know there must be some reason but I was never able to figure out why. I am still working hard. It was my mother’s wish that I follow my dream. 

Jimin: I am sorry Y/N, I shouldn’t have asked-

Y/N: Why are you apologising? It’s okay, you are my friend. It’s good that I have someone who can listen to me. I am a bit tired of being the listener all the time.

She said playfully and they both laughed.

Y/N: I generally listen to others stories. Never expected anyone to be interested in mine.

Her words made Jimin smile softly. He felt butterflies in his stomach looking at her face. He didn’t know what was happening to him and why his body was reacting like this. But he liked it.

Jimin: So do you think I am a good listener?

Y/N: Definitely! 

She said while looking at him.

Y/N: Thank You for bringing me here. I really appreciate it that you trust me enough. Thank you.

Jimin: Don’t worry about it Y/N. Should we go now?

Y/N: Let’s stay a little while longer.

She said and moved her feet back and forth in the water.

Jimin: We can stay for as long as you want.

He said and both of them smiled listening to the splashing sound of the waterfall.
