Y/N’s POV
I was really nervous before the audition but now that it’s done I felt a lot of relief and satisfaction. I had given my best and I hope it goes well.
I stopped singing and looked at the Critics who sat there focusing on me.
Critic 1: That was amazing Miss Y/N.
Critic 2: Thank you for Auditioning, we will let you know the results soon. You may leave now.
While the critics were talking I felt a presence behind me, It felt like someone was looking at me, but I couldn’t make out who. I shrugged those thoughts off, maybe I am just imagining things. I bowed before grabbing my stuff and making my way out.
I stepped out of the room and started walking down the hallway. Suddenly I hear A voice.
???: Y/N?
I halt in my steps hearing the familiar voice. I slowly turn around and my eyes widen.
Y/N: Baekhyun?!
He smiled at me softly before approaching me.
Baekhyun: Kang Y/N! It’s so good seeing you after high school. How is everything?
Y/N: I-Its great. W-What are you doing here?
I asks and he chuckles at my question. I look at him completely dumbfounded.
Baekhyun: I am the owner of this Agency.
My eyes widened...
Time Skip~
(At Y/N’s House)
Jimin’s POV
All of us were watching a movie on Netflix. I looked at the clock and it had been 2 hours, 2 hours since she had gone for the audition. I hope it went well. Staying with Scarlett under the same room was definitely a challenge but it went better than I thought. We did argue a bit but tried to get along for Y/N’s Sake.
Suddenly we hear the sound of the garage indicating that Y/N was back. Jaehyun, paused the movie in a hurry when we heard footsteps approaching the front door. Everyone’s gaze was on the door. It opens slowly and Y/N steps in Closing it behind her. She turns around to see everyone staring at her.
Y/N: Why are you all looking at me like that?
Scarlett: HOW DID IT GO?
Jaehyun: WHAT DID THEY SAY?!
Jacob: DID YOU GET IT?
Y/N: Will you let me speak! Gosh!
She said keeping her bag on the table and sat on the couch between Taehyung and I.
Y/N: It went pretty well, the results will be here in under an hour so I need my phone to be on along with my laptop. They said they will send an email if I qualify. And You won’t believe who I met when I was about to leave the agency.
Everyone looked at her curiously.
Y/N: I met Baekhyun!
Everyone’s Eyes widened and jaws dropped. I was included for the first time. I balled my hands into fists but took a deep breath to calm myself down.
Y/N: Turns out that he was the owner of the agency that I auditioned for. He saw me audition and wanted me to sign the contract without the audition.
Jade: So what did you say?
Y/N: I said no, I wanted it to be fair for everyone. There might be so many people who are much more talented than me. Though I said no, he said that the offer is always open. I can take as much time as I want with it.
Jade: Will you think about yourself for once? What about your Benefit, you need to be selfish sometimes Y/N.
Y/N: I want everyone to have the best they can get Jade, I just want everyone to get the happiness they deserve. And I won’t be able to live with myself if I snatched someone else’s opportunity from them.
All of us sighed.
Y/N: And Baekhyun Also took me out for Coffee. We caught up on a lot. He is still such a sweet person and a gentleman too. I found out how he was dating a model a while ago but broke up with her due to some misunderstandings.
Scarlett: So that means he is single?
She said smirking and I scoffed. Y/N looked at her confused.
Y/N: Yes, I suppose so.
Jacob: Even if he is single, it shouldn’t matter to you. You are already reserved.
Scarlett: By Who?
She said smirking looking at Jacob who smirked back. He leaned in closer to her face and her smirk faded. Their faces were now inches a Part and Jacob’s smirk grew wider looking at Scarlett’s nervous face.
Jacob: By Me, beautiful.
He said and put a strand of hair behind her ear moving back. Scarlett Exhaled sharply and I saw Y/N chuckle.
Jade: Anyways, I was wondering if you asked him to hang out sometime.
Veronica: Yeah, did you ask him?
A smirk plastered over their faces again and I balled my hands into fists. Anger building up in me. I took a deep breath and tried to control my anger.
Y/N: I know what that smirk means and No I didn’t because I am not dating anyone. End of Discussion. How many times should I repeat myself, there was only one person who I dated and there will be no second! We are not talking about this again! Do I make myself clear!
There was a hint of anger in her tone but she took a deep breath and a smile plastered on her face once again.
Y/N: I am going to freshen up, Please keep a check on my phone and the laptop for the results. You guys can be so unbelievable sometimes!
She said and stormed to her room.
Jaehyun: You Guys Know she doesn’t like it when people ask her about dating life again! Why do you bring it up?
Jade: We are looking out for her Jaehyun, she has to get over it at some point. The best way to get over it is to start fresh.
Jacob: You have a point but we can’t force her into it. We want her to be ready.
Jungkook: Yeah, if she is not ready for the change then no matter what we do, nothing will make her do something that we want. Even if it is for her better.
Daymon: And all of you, well most of us know how she is since the past few years. She doesn’t work well under pressure. Let’s not force her or she might take it too hard on herself.
Scarlett: You Guys are right, we shouldn’t force her.
Jimin: Can I go talk to her?
Scarlett: No you can n-
Jacob Stopped her by holding her hand and caressing the back of it.
Jacob: Go a Head Jimin. We will wait right here.
Jaehyun: Call me if you need me.
He said as if he knew I would require help.
I sighed and walked up the stairs heading for Y/N’s Room.
Meanwhile
Y/N’s POV
I walked up to my room and plopped myself on my bed. I looked up at the ceiling and started to talk to myself.
Y/N: Why don’t they get it, I don’t wanna date anyone. I just.....can’t. Maybe because no one can take BamBam’s place. Or maybe I just want to believe it. Maybe I should give it a try but then again what if he comes back. What if he hurts someone that is important to me.
I sat up straight on my bed and now my breathing was heavy. I closed my eyes and sighed.
Y/N: Forget it. I need to freshen up.
I quickly got up from my bed and went to the bathroom. I changed into my nightwear.
I sighed and Got out of the bathroom. I sat by the window and leaned my head against the window.
Y/N: Why is everything so hard? Just....Why?
??? : What’s Hard?
Hearing the voice I turned around to find Jimin looking at me while tilting his head.
Y/N: Why are you here? Do you need something ChimChim?
He sighed and walked up to me. He sat beside me looking out the window.
Jimin: I came to see you.
He said and my heart leaped out of my chest at his words. I took a deep breath and looked out the window too.
Y/N: Why?
I asked him and I saw from the corner of my eye that he was looking at me while I constantly looked out the window.
Jimin: You didn’t seem alright. Do you want to talk about it?
I turned to face him.
Y/N: Thank You for your concern Jimin But I’m alright. It’s not new for me. My friends still say it in a nicer manner because they are concerned, others just mock me. So I am fine.
I gave him a soft smile before turning back to look at the window.
Jimin: Why would people mock you?
He asked and I shrugged.
Y/N: I don’t know. Maybe they just need a reason for me to feel bad about myself. But it doesn’t affect me, I have learnt to become stronger.
He nodded and looked out the window with me.
Y/N: How was the day with Scarlett?
I asked to lighten the mood.
Jimin: We did quarrel but we tried to stay neutral with each other.
Y/N: That’s good. I am proud of you ChimChim.
I said giving him a thumbs up.
Y/N: Once you get to know her better, you will get along just fine. I will make sure both of you communicate.
Jimin: As you say Autumn.
He looked at me with a small smile and then turned back to his blank expression.
His gaze wandered around the room.
Jimin: You have a nice room.
Y/N: Thank You. It’s all my favourite things, Aesthetics and Comfort all in one. My father’s mansion had a bigger room but it felt so lonely and empty. There is no point in living a big house if you are living alone. Some people like it but I don’t. I like having people around me. It makes me feel like a whole.
Jimin: Well I like staying alone. It’s just how I like things.
I was about to say something when suddenly I heard a voice from downstairs.
Jacob: Y/N! THE RESULT IS HERE! COME DOWN ASAP!
When I heard him my eyes widened and I looked at Jimin who was already looking at me. Why is he always looking at me. Am I that talkative?
I grabbed Jimin’s Arm and pulled him downstairs with me. As we reached downstairs I saw everyone’s eyes were glued to the laptop screen. I let go of Jimin’s arm and sat right in front of the laptop. I looked at The screen and inhaled looking at the unopened email.
Scarlett: Go On...Open it.
Jimin came and sat Beside me. Jaehyun was already sitting beside me. I was hesitant in opening it. I kept on having second thoughts. I looked up to see everyone looking at me.
Y/N: I can’t do this. Someone just open it for me please.
I covered my eyes with my hands.
Jaehyun: I will do it.
I felt him bend a bit to reach the Laptop while my eyes were still covered by my palms. I heard a few clicks of the keyboard which made me more nervous. After a minute of silence he finally spoke.
Jaehyun: Okay I have read it and...
Jade: And What?!
Scarlett: Cut the crap J! Just tell us already.
Jaehyun: Okay Okay I am saying it...
He sighed and continued.
Jaehyun: Congratulations, our rising star Miss Kang Y/N! You have made it!
I slowly uncovered my eyes and I saw everyone cheering and clapping. I stood up on the couch and started jumping. Everyone laughed and clapped, there was cheer in all directions. Everyone hugged each other. I hugged Jimin out of sudden reflex. I don’t know why but I just did unknowingly. He seemed a bit shocked by my action. He didn’t hug back so I decided about to pull away. But when I was about to I felt two pairs of arms wrap around my waist pulling me closer. I smiled while my cheeks turned red. His hug was somehow so comforting and warm that it always managed to make me melt into his embrace.
I pulled away and didn’t make eye contact feeling a bit embarrassed by my sudden action. I turned around to face J and he hugged me immediately. He pulled away and smiled while congratulating me.
I sat back down while everyone were still standing and chatting. I read the mail carefully and Suddenly called out.
Y/N: Guys! I have something to say!
I said and everyone looked at me.
Y/N: Here it says that I can tell them when I want to start in a range of six months, so I am thinking to take my time and tell them since they have a flexible system.
Taehyung: Why don’t you tell them now?
Y/N: Because I want to spend as much as I can with you guys before I get busy. And Now that I think about it, I can join anytime since it’s Baekhyun’s Agency. So now that I know that I am good enough I can give my place to someone else.
Everyone: What?!
Y/N: What I mean is, that I would rather give my place to someone who has been working hard too. Since now I know that I have finally reached my goal of being satisfied with myself, I can ask Baekhyun anytime to give me a place as a solo Artist in the Agency. I want to give my place to someone deserving. I already messaged Baekhyun that I have accepted his offer and that I will be start when I am a bit more free.
Jaehyun: Are you sure about that Cupcake?
Y/N: I am very much sure.
I gave him a reassuring smile and grabbed my laptop. I then typed all email to the agency and sent it. I sighed heavily before closing the laptop and looking up at the ceiling.
Y/N: Everything will be okay.
I reassured myself but saying it out loud made everyone around me confused. I looked back at them and smiled.
Y/N: Did you all finish the cookies?
They all remain silent. I looked at the corner of the room and see the jar empty lying on the coffee table. I laugh looking at their faces.
Y/N: You guys are lucky that I made an extra batch. But you guys are not getting that because that is all mine.
I laughed as Javier handed me the Jar filled with Cookies. All of my friends looked at me with puppy eyes.
Y/N: How greedy can you all be, you ate a whole jar full of Cookies and that jar was pretty big. These are mine and I am not Sharing.
I was about to take a bite when I remembered something.
Y/N: I also found out that Jimin and Taehyung didn’t get to eat even a single one so I am only gonna share with them.
Everyone gasped and I grinned.
Jungkook: What about me?
He said trying to look innocent but I knew his tricks.
Y/N: Nope.
I said and Gave Jimin and Taehyung each a cookie while I ate one myself. I giggled looking at the others' faces and sighed.
Y/N: Here.
I said and gave them the jar. They all smiled and Munched on the cookies while we watched a movie on Netflix. Just me and my friends.
