Third POV

Daniel: WHERE IS Y/N?!

He said loudly and was now panting heavily. It was clear that he had hurried here.

Jaehyun: Daniel Hyung? What are you doing here?

Daniel: Has Y/N come back yet?

He asked in desperation. Concern written all over his face and worry showing in his eyes. Jaehyun furrowed his brows and walks towards him.

Jaehyun: Yes, she arrived a few minutes ago and she looked like she was crying. I was going to check up on her now. Did something happen?

Daniel: Y-Yes.

He said hesitantly.

Daniel: Dad told Y/N something that mom never wanted her to know... the reason why he was distant from her, the reason why she thought he hated her.

Jaehyun’s eyes widened and his body became numb. He could only imagine how Y/N must be feeling which was making him feel terrible.

Jaehyun: Take a seat and tell me what happened Hyung.

He said And Made Daniel sit on the bench couch. Everyone sat quietly feeling the intense aura of the room. He starts to tell everyone what happened at the Mansion.

Flashback~

{3 hours ago}

Y/N arrived at The Kang Estate. It has been two years but nothing has changed. Everything looks the same.

 A smile forms on her face as she sees Daniel standing there but he doesn’t notice her because he was talking on the phone. Y/N tip toed behind him and covered his eyes with her hands.

Y/N: Guess who?

She said and Daniel chuckled.

Daniel: There’s only one person that I know who has this cute and sweet voice, my baby sis.

He says as he turns around and gives Y/N a bear hug. He pulls away and cups her cheeks in his palms.

Daniel: What are you doing here?

Y/N: Father called me.

She looked at him with a hint of excitement. Her father never bothered with her so when he called her himself made her feel overwhelmed.

Daniel: Really? Well let’s go meet him then.

He gently grabs her arm and pulls her inside. As she walks in, all the maids and helpers look at her with a bright smile. They all have known her since she was a kid, seeing her after two years made all of them happy.  She smiled at them and hugged a few of them in the process. Daniel smiled at her sweet gestures, she has always been like this.

They stood in front of their father’s Library. Their Father stayed there most of the times studying documents and doing work. As they were about to go in a voice stopped them.

Jihye: Y/N-AH?!

She said in surprise. Her expression turned soft and full of love looking at her younger sister. Y/N ran to Jihye’s hugging her tightly. She giggled looking at Y/N’s Enthusiasm.

Y/N: I missed you so much Jihye Unnie.

Jihye: I missed you more.

She said as she caressed her head still hugging her. Jihye pulled away and placed a small kiss on Y/N’s forehead. She looked at her lovingly.

Jihye: When did you come here? Are you gonna stay for a few days?

She asked curiously and Y/N shook her head.

Y/N: Dad called me today. He himself called me, Can you believe that?

She said excitedly. Jihye smiled at her cuteness and pat her head softly.

Jihye: I missed you so much. We have so much to catch up on. 

Y/N: I know Unnie, maybe we can go out for coffee somewhere in this week.

Jihye: I can go anywhere my little Chubbs wants to go.

Y/N: Don’t call me that Unnie, I am about to be 22.

She pouted and Jihye chuckled.

Jihye: No matter how much you grow up you will still be my little Chubbs.

She said squishing her cheeks and Y/N smiled. She only felt happiness at the moment looking at her siblings and her house, a house filled with lovely memories.

Jihye: Now Go, dad must be waiting for you.

Y/N nodded and walked towards the library door. Daniel got an urgent call so he excused himself. He said he will be back as soon as the Call is done. Jihye went to her room to grab a few things. Now Y/N stood alone in front of the door. She felt her stomach tingle because of the nervousness. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door softly.

Mr. Kang: Come in.

Hearing his voice sent shivers down her spine. She shrugged all the negative thoughts of as she entered the library. Upon entering the library she looked around feeling the familiar warm and welcoming aura of the room. She Came here often to read some books. 

She went further towards the place where her father usually sat. He had kept a desk at the corner of the room so that no one can disturb him. She saw her father sitting in his chair, his back facing towards her. 

Y/N: D-Dad?

She stuttered and He turned his Chair around facing towards her. She gave him a soft smile while he didn’t say a word. He just stared at her intensely. His eyes were burning holes into her.

Mr. Kang: I didn’t think you would come...

He said with no emotion in his voice.

Y/N: Why wouldn’t I? Is there a reason why you called me? Is it because of Mom’s birthday?

He sighed and looked away from Y/N. he balled his hands into fists.

Mr. Kang: I told you that you can’t become a Idol didn’t I?!

He said through gritted teeth and Y/N seemed shocked by his words.

Y/N: B-But I-I didn’t-

Mr.Kang: KEEP QUIET!

He slammed his fists on his desk making Y/N Flinch.

Mr.Kang: You thought I wouldn’t find out if you didn’t tell me yourself huh?! I am not that stupid! I told you that you can’t become an idol?! What do you not understand?!

He yells and Y/N looks down not wanting to meet her fathers eyes.

Mr.Kang: You just want a reason to ruin my reputation that I’ve taken years to build! How can you be so selfish! Have you not disappointed me enough that you want to do it again huh?!

He threw a vase at the floor in rage. It broke into pieces near Y/N’s Foot. A few pieces made cuts on her ankle. She winced in pain but her father didn’t seem to care. He never did. 

Mr.Kang: What else do you want to make me regret having you as my daughter?! Sometimes I really want to disown you, you don’t deserve being my daughter?! Look at your siblings and look at yourself! You never do anything I ask you to do! You Just do whatever you want to do! You are making things very difficult for me! My life feels like hell because of your stupid mistakes! 

His Words started ringing in her head. All his words were getting engraved in her memory. She couldn’t take it anymore. It hurt too much. She took up all her courage and finally spoke out.

Y/N: W-Why do you hate me so much? Ever since I was a kid you hated me and my guts. Why?! What did I ever do to you then?!

She said as her eyes become glossy but she holds back her tears. He clenched his jaw while standing up from his chair.

Mr.Kang: You want to know why I hate you?

He asked and Y/N looked away.

Mr.Kang: I will tell you..!

He said with a loud voice. Y/N was now scared, her past memories were coming back to her.

Mr.Kang: I loved Daniel and Jihye very much. My family was perfect, My wife, my two kids and I. Until, One day your mother comes to me and told me that she is pregnant With you. I never wanted a third Child! I never wanted you! You were just a stupid f**king mistake made by Your mother and I! I told your mother to get abortion done, I wanted to get rid of you! But she didn’t, she was very stubborn and lied to me telling me that she got it done. When she was 4 months pregnant I realised her bump and knew that she lied to me! I knew I couldn’t get rid of you anymore and I was stuck with this! I became distant with your mother just because of you! A mistake like you ruined my life! You ruined Daniel and Jihye’s life because your mother focused only on you and forgot about them! They never got their mother’s love because of you! I wish you were never born! I wish your mother would’ve listened to me for once! I despise you! When I look at you all I see is regret! I wish she would’ve killed you!”

Upon hearing her words Y/N broke down. She was just a mistake? They never wanted to have her? Her whole life was surrounded around a mistake. Her breathing became heavy and tears were now streaming down her cheeks. The door opened with a loud thud revealing Daniel looking shocked at his father. Y/N stumbled back but Daniel caught her in his arms. 

Y/N: I-I am a mistake. I-I am j-just a m-mistake.

Daniel looked at his sisters state and his Eyes burned in anger.

Daniel: DAD! HOW COULD YOU! HOW COULD YOU BE SO EMOTIONLESS AND JUST SAY IT JUST LIKE THAT!YOU PROMISED MOM THAT YOU WOULD NEVER TELL HER!

Y/N: Y-You knew too? Y-You still didn’t tell me? How could you?

She whispered as her voice was barely coming out. Daniel’s eyes softened. He felt guilt but he knew he could have never told her. 

Daniel: Y/N I-

Y/N: You all need to stop pretending to love me if you don’t! I don’t want to force you! I wasn’t required to be a part of your family, I just ruined your family Oppa! Please do Not force yourself to love me! I can’t take it anymore. It hurts. Don’t tell me that you love me because I know I will believe you and get hurt again. Just leave me.

She said as she ran out of the Library.

Daniel: Y/N! LISTEN TO ME Y/N!

Jihye: What happened in here and where is Chubbs?!

She asked upon seeing the broken vase on the floor. 

Daniel: Dad told Y/N the goddamn truth!

He said and Her eyes widened.

Daniel: Stay here Jihye. I am going to talk to her.

He said and ran out of the Library following Y/N. 

Y/N ran towards her car and quickly sat inside. Tears continuously streamed down Y/N’s Face as her fathers voice rung in her ears.

“You were just a stupid f**king mistake made by Your mother and I!”

“A mistake like you ruined my life! I wish you were never born!”

“When I look at you all I see is regret!”

“I wish she would’ve killed you!”

“I despise you!”

She heard her brothers voice which made her heart hurt even more. She quickly put the key in the key hole and drove with full speed, leaving her memories and the people she loves behind.

End of Flashback~

Daniel: After I saw her leaving, I sat in my car and followed her here. I know she is hurt because she broke the speed limit. 

The room was silent. Some were shocked while some were feeling upset. 

Daniel: She thought that if dad says things that we don’t love her and that we have been pretending, all of it is true. She misunderstood.

He massaged his temples and Jaehyun put his hand on his shoulder.

Jaehyun: It will be okay Hyung. You know how she is. She won’t stay mad long.

Daniel: Where is she?

Just as Jaehyun was about answer, slow footsteps were heard coming downstairs. Everyone’s gaze was now on the staircase as They saw Y/N’s figure walking down the stairs. She was wearing headphones, it seemed like she wanted to mute the world around her and be in her own world. She didn’t even glance at the people in the living room and passed by them entering the kitchen. All of their eyes were on her but she seemed lost in her own thoughts. As she got out of the kitchen her eyes were closed as she took a Deep breath. They realised how she was limping a bit.

Daniel stood in front of her blocking her way. She looked up and her eyes widened looking at her brother standing in front of her.

Y/N: O-Oppa?

She stuttered and before she could say further Daniel hugged her tightly. She was about to hug him back but her father’s words started to ring in her head again.

“You ruined Daniel and Jihye’s life because your mother focused only on you and forgot about them! They never got their mother’s love because of you!”

She gently pulls away and steps back.

Y/N: P-Please don’t O-Oppa.

Daniel sighs and gently grabs her arm pulling her to the living room. He hears her hiss in pain, he knew her ankle was hurt. He makes her sit on the couch and kneels down in front of her. He takes her headphones off and puts them on the coffee table. She just looks at him with her glossy eyes. A rush of emotions flooding in. He takes her foot and looks at her ankle. 

Daniel: Does it hurt hmm?

He asked and she looked away. Not wanting to look at him. She knew if she looked at him she would start to cry again. He sighed and signalled Jacob to get the first aid kit. Jacob gave him the first aid kit and Daniel started to treat her wound.

Daniel: Did this happen because of the vase? Did dad do this?

Y/N: Even if he would’ve seen this or known about this, would he have cared?

Daniel sighed unable to answer her question. 

Jimin looked at her with a softened gaze. His eyes only looked at her fragile figure, seeing her like this was breaking him piece by piece. He wanted to go to her and embrace her, not wanting to let go. But he decided to hold himself back. He balled his hands into fists breathing in and out slowly trying to calm himself down. Looking at her once more he sighed.

Y/N: Please go back DanDan, I can’t deal with this right now.

Daniel bandaged her foot and put it down. He held her hands in his and looked at her.

Daniel: You Remember What mom told us when we were young?

Y/N looked up at him and her lower lip trembled. 

Daniel: She said even when the whole world is against us, we will stay together and stay strong. We will always be there for each other and love each other. Jihye and I love you, we don’t need to pretend to love you because the feeling comes from the heart.

He held her hands tightly and gave her a soft smile.

Daniel: Why wouldn’t we love you? You are my cute baby sis and Jihye’s little chubbs. What is there not to love? Now where is my my baby sis?

Y/N: Don’t call me chubbs in front Of Everyone Oppa...

She whined and Daniel pulled her into a hug. Everyone laughed.

Daniel: There She is.

She hugged him back tightly.

Y/N: I miss mom DanDan, I miss her a lot.

Daniel: Me too Y/N-ah, but I am sure she must be very happy to see you happy. So wipe those tears away and give that world famous smile.

They pulled away and She gave him a big smile.

Jaehyun: Now we all are going for dinner today, so go and dress up Y/N!

She gave him a smile and nodded. 

Scarlett: Where that pretty dress that I bought you.

Y/N giggled and nodded once again. Her eyes met Jimin’s and she smiled at him and mouthed a “I’m okay“ to him before walking up the stairs. 

Jacob: Will you join us Daniel Hyung?

Daniel: I can’t, I have to talk to my father about this. I have some documents to check too. I only came to check on her but now I am a bit relieved that you guys are with her. I will be leaving now. Please take care of her.

All of them nodded and Daniel left.

Jaehyun: Guys now remember we have to try not to do anything to pressure her, you know how her mental health gets, let’s make this dinner perfect. But we have to enjoy too. 

Everyone: let’s do this!
