Y/N’s POV

I stood there admiring the Eiffel Tower from the window of my hotel room. It looked even more beautiful as dusk started to settle in. 

I had come here with a few of my friends. It had always been my wish to visit Paris on New Year’s Eve. In my family they always believe that if you go to Paris on New Years Eve, you will find your soulmate within the hour before The clock strikes 12. They say its fate. 

The person who I thought was meant to be with me, who I thought was my soulmate was the one who hurt me the most. I had planned to come to Paris with him this year and wanted to be with him on New Years Eve. But maybe fate had other plans for us. The day I wanted to tell him about this, I walked into his apartment only to see him with the person who made my life hell, my ex best friend, June. 

How could Jin do that to me? We had been together for the past 4 years now. I wished what I saw was just dream. He tried to explain it to me but what was left to explain now? I saw it with my own eyes. And I felt the hurt in my own heart. So without listening to him I ran away from there. If only heart break had a sound, it would echo throughout the world. I loved him so much. I thought he was my Soulmate, my Jinny. I still love You Jin and maybe I will always love you but I will get rid of these feeling for the sake of my sanity. I can’t live with one sided love. I can’t torture you or me because of this forced love. The last thing I want is for me to ruin your life because of my selfishness. 

Though he hurt me, I could never do anything to make him miserable. I still love him maybe.

A sigh escaped my lips as I looked at the picture of us together.

This was picture from his birthday a few weeks ago. It was magical. Something that I took a lot of time to prepare and from that smile on his face I knew he liked it a lot.

Switching my phone off I heard a faint knock on the door. 

Y/N: Come in.

I said still looking out the window.

Irene: Y/N!!

I heard the voice of my best friend as she entered the room.

Y/N: Yes..?

Irene: Let’s go have some fun! It’s New Years Eve Today! Start of a new year and a new chapter of our lives. Leaving the past behind lets celebrate what we have now.

She said enthusiastically and I glanced at her giving her a small smile before turning to look out the window once again. I knew what she was trying to do. She wanted me to unwind and let go but I can’t.

Irene: Still thinking about him huh?

She asked walking up to me and standing beside me. She put her arm around my shoulder and I nodded slightly as my eyes became tearful.

Irene: Hey hey don’t cry. It’s time you move on. Where is the strong Y/N I know...?

She said looking at me and I smiled wiping away my tears.

Y/N: Let’s have some fun shall we?

I said as I went to the bathroom to change.

Irene: You should wear a dress.

Y/N: It’s freezing cold outside. I think I should be fine like this.

Irene: Ugh! Whatever! Let’s go now! We are going to the club!

She grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room. Upon reaching the ground floor I saw Taehyung and Jimin waiting for us.

Taehyung: Yah! What took you all so long?

He scoffed but upon seeing me I could see that he guessed what happened. Jimin walked upto me wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

Jimin: Lets enjoy tonight and celebrate it like there is no tomorrow shall we.

He said smiling at me and I nodded.

Y/N: Lets do it.

I said and all of us headed for the club.

Upon reaching their we all sat down near the bar as the bartender brought us some tequila shots.

Taehyung: To a new year and a New beginning!

He said raising his glass and all of us did the same before gulping it all down. 

Third POV

Y/N kept on drinking trying her best to get rid of Jin’s thoughts but controlled herself to stay in her senses. Soon enough, both Irene and Taehyung were drunk like there was no tomorrow while Jimin and Y/N were still sober.

Irene: T-To A New Year!

She said drinking another shot as a sigh escaped Y/N’s lips looking at her friend’s drunk state.

Taehyung: Come On Guys let’s dance!

He said and pulled Y/N to the stage while Irene pulled Jimin.

They all danced but Y/N couldn’t seem to concentrate has her thoughts were playing like a tape on repeat in her mind. She closed her eyes and swayed her body from side to side trying to forget about everything. 

She tried to forget and let go. She took off her coat and threw it somewhere not even bothering about it. She was dancing like there is no tomorrow. What she didn’t know that there stood someone near the bar looking at her in longing. Anger built up inside him as he saw many guys Eyeing Y/N up and down.

As Y/N was dancing she felt two pairs of arms wrap around her waist making her open her eyes immediately and a gasp escaped her mouth. The person put his chin on her shoulder while pulling her closer to him.

Y/N: E-Excuse M-Me s-sir, please let go of me...

She said trying to get rid of his grip but he just tightened his grip around her.

Jin: I let you go last time Sweetheart but not this time.

He said and Her breathing hitched as she recognised the voice. Her eyes became tearful as their memories replayed in her mind.

Flashback~

Y/N: What are you making Jin?

She asked sitting on the kitchen counter looking at him with a pout while he was preparing something.

Jin: A sweet treat for my sweet love.

He said and a small smile spread across her face. He walked in front of her with a spoon in hand and stood in between her legs. He placed the spoon near her lips.

Jin: Tell me what you think...

He said and Y/N took a Bite of the cheesecake making her eyes widen in amazement.

Y/N: Wow, This tastes amazing Jinny!

She said still eating it and Jin looked at her in admiration. He smirked as he noticed some cream on the corner of her lips.

Jin: I want to taste it too.

Y/N: Go ahead.

She said oblivious to what he meant. He leaned in closer to her as he wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer to himself. 

Y/N: What are you doing? I thought you wanted to taste it?

She asked innocently and he chuckled huskily.

Jin: I am...

He said and her eyes widened as realisation hit her. He was about to lean in closer when she pushed him and got off the kitchen counter.

Y/N: You have to catch me first.

She giggled and ran to the living room while Jin chased behind her. She was about to trip and fall but before she did Jin held onto her waist pulling her towards him. She bumped into his chest.

Jin: Got you.

He said in a whisper as she smiled looking at him.

Y/N: Yes you did.

She giggled looking at him and he smiled. He stared deeply into her eyes and she looked at him with her doe eyes as suddenly he smashed his lips onto hers making her feel ecstatic. She kissed him back wrapping her arms around his neck pulling him closer and he smiled in between the kiss. He pulled away and looked deeply into her eyes once again with his softened gaze.

Jin: That was sweeter than the cheesecake.

He smirked and Y/N blushed looking away. He put his finger under her chin and made her look at him.

Jin: You can never run away from me because you are my home, my safe place and I am never going to let you leave, understand?  I love you Y/N.

Y/N: I love you too Kim Seokjin...

End of Flashback~

Flashback~

Y/N: Jinny~

She said walking into the apartment but didn’t spot him anywhere. She furrowed her brows putting her bag on the couch looking around trying to find him.

Y/N: I thought he said He took a day off today. I should have told him before coming here.

She said with a pout thinking that he might’ve gone out with his friends since he had taken an off from work. She decided to surprise him today with their tickets to Paris, the city of love. Maybe going to Paris together will make their relationship flourish into a stronger one. The thought of it made her feel butterflies in her stomach. She came in with excitement but that excitement had become less seeing he was not home.

Y/N: I can come later maybe. 

She said as a sigh escaped her lips as she picked her bag up from the couch and was about to leave but then heard muffled voices from Jin’s room. She furrowed her brows in confusion and slowly made her steps to his room.

She stood in front of the door and heard giggling sounds which made her tilt her head in confusion. She put her hand on the door knob and opened the door slowly making sure not to make any noise. 

As she opened the doors her eyes saw the most heartbreaking sight which she wished she would’ve never seen. Jin sat their with June sitting on his lap while wrapping her arms around his neck. She kept on leaning closer to him which made Y/N’s throat felt like it was closing up by each passing second. 

Her bag dropped from her hand falling to the ground which caught both Jin and June’s attention. Upon noticing Y/N’s Presence, June smirked at her while tears fell from her eyes one by one. Jin’s eyes widened upon seeing Y/N. Jin pushed June off from his lap and got up.

Jin: Y/N I-

She showed him her hand making him stop talking. Her tears were running down her cheeks like a waterfall. She must not know it but his heart was feeling the pain she was feeling. Seeing her cry was making him feel guilty. 

On the other hand, Y/N felt her world shatter in front of her eyes and crash down. All her dreams and wishes were all gone. They vanished the minute she saw June. She looked at Jin with tearful eyes which clearly showed how betrayed she felt. She swallowed the lump in her throat and finally spoke.

Y/N: How could you?

She whispered but he heard her and Jin’s eyes softened. June seeing the tenderness of the situation decided to use it at his advantage. She walked to Jin and clung onto his arm.

June: What is she doing here babe?

She asked and Y/N balled her hands into fists. Jin didn’t care of what June did, all his attention was on Y/N. June looked at how this was affecting her so she decided to exceed to the limit.

June took up all her strength and turned Jin towards herself. She held his collar and pulled him down before crashing her lips on his. Y/N stumbled back as her heart completely broke into millions of pieces.

Jin tried pushing June away but she wouldn’t budge and pulled him closer to her. 

Y/N: It’s over Jin. We are over. I am sorry for interrupting both of you.

She said keeping a stone over her heart and she picked up her bag from the ground. Jin finally got rid of June’s grip and looked at Y/N with glossy eyes. Y/N wiped her tears and ran out of the apartment leaving all her memories, dreams and hopes behind in that little apartment where both of them had the sweetest and the most beautiful memories.

End of Flashback~

Y/N opened her eyes as she felt him tighten his grip around her waist and tears were now streaming down her cheeks. Everything was coming back to her. All the pain and all the hurt that she felt. 

She yanked his hands away from her and backed away from him.

Y/N: Stay away from me Seokjin. 

She said sternly and Jin looked taken a back by her words but he stood his ground.

Jin: Why Y/N? You didn’t even give me a chance to explain. Am I not your Jinny? 

She felt a pang in her heart after hearing him but didn’t show it. She felt guilty for not even hearing him out but she just couldn’t take it. She knew anything he said would hurt her. She would rather believe her own eyes than what he had to say.

Y/N: I don’t need to hear you when I saw what happened with my own eyes. I was the one who saw it and felt it. You just stood their trying to look for excuses but I am not an idiot Kim Seokjin! Maybe I believed you before but I won’t now! I won’t let you play with my feelings! I-I hate you so much.

She said but she knew she didn’t mean it. Jin felt his heart ache. The mouth that once said ‘I love you’ to him were know saying the most hurtful words which were breaking him apart.

All of Y/N’s Friend stood their looking at her and Jin simultaneously. Y/N spotted Irene and walked Over to her to her leaving Jin behind. She didn’t even glance at him. Checking the time in her watch she spoke.

Y/N: It is going to be 12 in another 30 minutes. I want to go to the Eiffel Tower as I want to be alone for sometime. I will see you later. You guys can enjoy here.

She said and before any of them could say anything she ran out of the club as her tears finally escaped her eyes. 

She suddenly started feeling cold and realised that she left her coat inside but she stopped caring. She quickly ran at towards the Eiffel Tower as it was at a walking distance. She saw many people staring at her weirdly but she had stopped caring, all she wanted to do was escape, escape her problems and escape her pain. Y/N knew it was better to face it than escape it but her mind wasn’t working that way. The scenes kept on replaying in her mind making her feel like she is going crazy.

She reached at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower and realised it was finally completely dark as the Eiffel Tower was the only thing that shimmered in the darkness. 

She finally gave into her feelings and fell on her knees crying. She covered her face with her hands as tears started to roll down her cheeks. All she felt was pain and worry. The pain was because of Jin and worry was for him. It was like her heart was battling with her mind.

Y/N felt someone put a hand on her shoulder. She looked up only to see the person who was the reason for her tears. She yanked his hand away and got up turning to her heels. She was about to walk away but then she felt a grip on her wrist as she was pulled back. He turned around with force concluding in her bumping into his chest. She put her hands on his chest to maintain some distance but he held her hands putting them down.

Jin put his arms around her waist pulling her closer and her head was now on his chest as she could hear the beating of his heart, there was no space in between them. She struggled in his hold trying to get rid of it as her eyes became tearful.

Y/N: L-Let me g-go. P-Please l-let me go.

Jin: No.

He said as he pulled Her closer.

Jin: Why Y/N?

He asked and Y/N stopped struggling as she got confused by his words.

Jin: Why didn’t you listen to me? Why didn’t you give me a chance to explain? Don’t you trust me?

He said and Y/N felt her shoulder getting wet and knew that he was crying. He never cried and was mostly the stronger one in their relationship. She knew he was hurt. Suddenly it started to snow and it made the environment more chilly as she shivered as she didn’t have a coat but Jin just tightened his grip trying to make her warm.

Jin: Y-You Know I love your right? You know the minute you left the apartment I felt like d-dying. I don’t want a l-life if you are not in it. I came all the way to Paris for you. You dropped the card before you left and I boarded the first flight I got to Paris. I saw your face after 2 weeks today. I-I missed you so damn much.

He said and Y/N's tears fell from her eyes as she knew she felt the same. 

Jin: T-That day you m-misunderstood. It wasn’t what you thought it was.

Flashback~

Jin’s POV

I was pacing around in my room as I looked at the ring I just bought. I was going to propose to Y/N today. I knew she would come by since I told her I took a day off. I smiled to myself thinking of her reaction. After 4 years, I can finally take our relationship to the next step. I can finally make her my wife. We will have our own little family together.

Suddenly the door bell rang making my heart leap out of my chest. A wide smile made its way to my lips as I ran to the door. I opened it and my smile immediately dropped seeing who it was.

June: Hey Handsome~

She waved her hand with a smirk on her lips and I scoffed. I was about to close the door when she suddenly pushed the door open walking into the apartment.

June: Nice apartment you have here.

She said looking around. I walked behind her with my hands in my pocket.

Jin: Get the hell out of my apartment!

I growled but she looked at me with a smirk before walking into my room. I groaned in annoyance as I walked behind her. 

As I did she pushed me on the bed making me sit on it. Before I could get up she sat on my lap. 

June: I will stop bothering Y/N if you keep shut.

She said and I furrowed my brows at her.

Jin: Bothering Y/N?

June: Looks like your little girlfriend didn’t tell you that I was the reason why she got fired from her job last week. I am the one who wants to make her life a living hell. 

She said and giggled and her words started to ring in my head that I got lost in my thoughts. Y/N was being troubled by her and she never even told me? Why?  I didn’t realise that she had wrapped her arms around my neck and was now leaning closer to me. I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard something fall to the ground and my eyes widened upon seeing Y/N standing their and her eyes were filled with tears. I pushed June off of me and looked at Y/N.

{After Y/N Left}

Y/N ran out of the apartment and I was about to follow her when I heard a chuckle.

June: B**ch got what she deserved! She was the reason why my boyfriend broke up with me and now look at where she is!

She laughed and my blood was now boiling in anger.

Jin: Get the f**k out right now! And if you trouble Y/N again I will make your life a living hell!

I said and she rolled her eyes before walking out. I looked down as my heart started to feel heavy. I noticed a small card on the ground and I picked it up. I opened it and started to read.

“My Dearest Jinny, Will you go to Paris with me?”

My heart was beating at the speed of light as I took out the ring from my pocket and looked at it.

Jin: I won’t let you go my love.

End of Flashback~

Third POV

Tears built in Y/N’s eyes as she heard what he said. She pulled away and looked at him. She cupped his cheeks and wiped his tears away from his eyes. She then started to hit his chest as loud sobs escaped her lips.

Y/N: You are such an Idiot! Couldn’t have you said anything earlier?! You could have stopped me when I was about to go! I am stupid but you are smart, why couldn’t you do anything?!

She said hitting his chest and he held her hands making her stop. She started sobbing loudly making Jin’s eyes soften.

Y/N: I am sorry. I love you so much. 

She said hugging him tightly and sobbing into his chest as he hugged her back wrapping his arms around her waist protectively. The snowfall was making everything even more beautiful than it already was. Jin pulled away from her.

Jin: So do you forgive me?

Y/N nodded rubbing her eyes and Jin smiled at her before kneeling down in front of her.

Jin: So I will do what I was supposed to do that day. 

Y/N covered her mouth with her hands as he looked at her with a big smile.

Jin: Y/N, will you give me the honour of being my wife and making me the happiest man in the universe? Will you marry me my love?

He asked and she nodded her head. He took her hand and put the ring on her finger. He got up and looked at her with softened eyes. Suddenly they heard loud voices.

“10 seconds till the new year! 10...9...8...7...6...”

They both looked at each other with a smile.

“...5...4...3...2...1...”

As he heard the count down end he pulled Y/N into a soft and gentle kiss. She wrapped her arms around her neck and smiled in between the kiss.

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

The firecrackers Burst as all her friends stood their at a distance looking at the couple in adoration.

Taehyung,Jimin, Irene: Congratulations!

Irene: I am your maid of honour!

Jimin: And Hyung! I am your best man!

Taehyung: I just want the cake! 

They yelled and both of them looked at them and laughed. Jin turned to look at Y/N and smiled resting his forehead on hers.

Jin: Happy New Year My Love~

“Always believe what your heart tells you and not what other people think. Always have faith in your love as true love always finds a way. Love can’t be forced, so The person who is meant for you will be yours if it’s your destiny.”
