 Third POV

{A day before Jimin’s birthday}

Y/N: Eat it!

She said as she passed Jimin the plate with the fried egg and Jimin sighed.

Jimin: I am! Calm down will you!

He rolled his eyes playfully and Y/N pouted.

Y/N: Now you know how I felt when you did the same thing! How does it feel to be switching roles! 

She said and laughed leaning her elbows against the kitchen counter taking a bite of Her sandwich.

Jimin: You are still not completely healthy…so try taking it easy and don’t overexert yourself okay?

He said and Y/N rolled her eyes while sitting down beside him.

Y/N: I am better now Jimin-ah! And I can take care of myself. I want to get back to my normal routine so I asked Daymon and Jaehyun to send the pending files so I can look through them.

Jimin raised a brow and took a sip of coffee. He brushed his fingers through his unruly hair as he had just woken up a while ago. 

Jimin: You will be working from here or are you going to the company building…?

Y/N: I will be staying home. I wanted to go to the company building but Jaehyun and Daymon didn’t want me to come since they think I will be stressing too much.

She shrugged and took a sip from her coffee when Jimin asked.

Jimin: Are you still going to work on your dream of becoming an idol?

Y/N smiled as she took another bite of her sandwich.

Y/N: I will not give up on it that easily and now I even have contact with CEO of one of the biggest entertainment agencies in Seoul! I am just giving that a break. I need some time to think it all through.

Jimin nodded at her and suddenly her phone rang grabbing Jimin’s attention.

Jimin: You have been getting too many calls these past three days, Who is it?

He asked and Y/N’s eyes widened as she hid her phone away from Jimin’s eyes.

Y/N: Uhm…I-It’s no one Chim…It’s just a friend that I lost touch with. Nothing to worry about. I have to take this.

She said and excused herself as she walked out of the kitchen. She opened the door to the backyard and put the phone to her ear.

Javier: I ordered the cake you asked me to and we will be doing the final run through for the party tonight.

He said into the line and Y/N smiled in relief.

Y/N: That’s great. I know it was on short notice but I am glad you set it up Javier. Thank you for always helping me with things like this. I really wanted this to be special for Jimin.

Javier: It’s my job as your bodyguard and your friend to help you out. So don’t thank me alright. I miss living with you, it used be fun.

He whined into the phone and Y/N giggled. 

Y/N: We will meet tomorrow anyways. I missed you too a lot.

She said but what she didn’t know was someone was listening to her with a scowl. Jimin leaned against the doorframe of the backyard. He turned around heading back inside before Y/N could notice him as he went deep in thought.

Jimin: Who was she talking to? Who is she meeting tomorrow? Who is she missing? Is she not happy here?

Such thoughts circled his mind as he slowly walked into the living room. He felt someone wrap their arm around his arm clinging onto it.

Y/N: What are you thinking?

She asked with a smile and Jimin shook his head.

Jimin: It’s just that…are you not happy staying here?

He asked and Y/N frowned at his question letting go of his arm.

Y/N: Why would you think that?

She asked as she held his shoulders turning his body to face her. He looked into her eyes and heaved another huge sigh looking away.

Jimin: I don’t know…it just feels that way. If you don’t like staying here you can always tell me-

She placed her hand over his mouth and looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

Y/N: Can you stop assuming things for heavens sakes! I like this place a lot. It feels like home and I wouldn’t like it any other way.

She gave him a small smile which made his heart flutter. Her breathing hitched as she noticed the close proximity between them. She dropped her hand down from his mouth as Jimin looked at her while tilting his head. She was about to move back when his arm wrapped around her waist pulling her flush against him.

Jimin: Is that shyness I see Miss Kang.

He said as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and Y/N felt her cheeks flush.

Y/N: Y-Yah! S-Stop i-it!

She said as she tried to wiggle out of his grip but he was much stronger and she knew that. He tightened his grip around her as a mischievous grin took over his face. Y/N looked at him with a pout while thinking of a way to escape. She looked behind him and her eyes widened.

Y/N: OMO! YOONGI OPPA?!

She said and Jimin’s eyes widened and he quickly let go of Y/N’s waist before looking behind him. He furrowed his brows when he saw nobody behind him. He turned back to face Y/N but he saw that she was already running up the stairs.

Jimin: Yah! Kang Y/N! Get back here!

He said as he was about to chase her up the stairs but stopped when he heard the doorbell ring. Walking up to the door he opened it revealing Javier holding up a laptop along with a few files.

Javier: Good Morning Mr. Jimin. Is Y/N home?

He asked acting completely clueless. Jimin nodded as he moved away letting Javier in. Javier walked in holding the files in hand as Jimin closed the door behind him. Y/N walked downstairs talking to someone over the phone.

Y/N: Yes, make the cupcakes red velvet and top the brownies with milk chocolate icing-

She noticed Jimin looking at her with confusion and her eyes widened as she cleared her throat.

Y/N: Yes Unnie! I will talk to you later Unnie! Bye Unnie!

She hung up the call quickly and saw Jimin looking at her with an eyebrow raised. 

Jimin: Who was that?

He asked and Y/N laughed awkwardly.

Y/N: It was J-Jisoo Unnie! I was getting something for the kids at the o-orphanage that’s all.

She said but Jimin still didn’t looked convinced.

Jimin: But-

Y/N: Hey look Javier is here!

She said and walked past Jimin pulling Javier into a friendly hug.

Y/N: How have you been?

She asked pulling away and he smiled at her.

Javier: I have been fine. I just came to drop these files and your laptop. 

He said and Y/N smiled with a nod.

Y/N: Do you want to have anything? Coffee?

She asked and he shook his head while putting the files and laptop on the coffee table.

Javier: I should be alright. I am in a hurry any which ways, I need to go to your house, it needs to be cleaned.

He said and Y/N’s eyes widened.

Y/N: Can I come with you?!

She asked with a pleading tone and Jimin looked at her with curiosity.

Jimin: Why though?

Y/N: I-I w-well…I need to get something from there. I had a few clothes and m-my uhm…my mom’s ring! It’s still there!

She said and Jimin’s lips formed an ‘O’ as he nodded unknowingly.

Javier: I will pick you up after lunch. First I need to get the house cleaned by a few cleaners, I don’t want you sneezing when you get there.

He chuckled and Y/N nodded with a small sigh.

Y/N: Alright. But don’t forget Okay.

Javier: Sure I won’t. I will be taking my leave now, see you in a few hours.

He said with a smile and Y/N smiled back while waving her hand at him as he walked out the door. Jimin looked back and forth between the door and Y/N as his mind was filled with questions but he held himself back when he saw that bright smile on her face. She had managed to melt his heart once again as she sat down looking at him while gesturing for him to sit down beside her. He obliged and sat down beside her as she opened her laptop.

She opened the laptop and typed in the password. The laptop opened as a picture of a lady along with Y/N popped up on the screen. The lady looked similar to Y/N and both of them were smiling while having their elbows resting on top of a table.

Jimin: Who is that?

Y/N: My mom.

She said as she looked into the laptop before grabbing the files and going through them. Jimin’s eyes softened as realisation hit him. Y/N looked a lot like her mother and he could only imagine how sweet of a lady she was. Jimin sat there looking at Y/N’s focused state. Her fingers pressed the keys on the keypad as her eyes darted at the laptop then back at files as she grabbed a pen from the coffee table before marking something on the file.

She bit at the end of the pen as she continued reading through the files.

Jimin: Need some help?

He asked as she looked up from the files and her eyes met his. She smiled lightly and Jimin felt his heart hammer against his chest.

Y/N: Sure if you want…

She said and her eyes fell on the files once again as she continued to read. Jimin grabbed another file from the table and did the same. He slowly slid the laptop towards himself as he typed in a few things before sliding it back onto Y/N’s lap.

Y/N: You don’t need to help me you know…You should take a break too.

She said still looking into the screen and typing something while Jimin glanced up at her with an eyebrow raised.

Jimin: I want to help you so that you can be done with this sooner….and so that I can get you all for myself later.

He whispered the last sentence and Y/N looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

Y/N: Did you say something?

She asked and he shook his head with a smirk before grabbing another file and looking through it too. She shrugged and got back to doing the same.

{2 hours later}

It was 12 pm now as Y/N stretched her arms up as she kept the laptop back on the coffee table closing it.

Y/N: Finally!

She said making her head fall back onto the couch and Jimin chuckled as he neatly placed the files on the desk.

Y/N: Thanks for your help. I wouldn’t have been able to finish these files without you.

She smiled and closed her eyes leaning her head against Jimin’s arm. 

Y/N: It’s time for lunch. I feel like eating pizza. Can we order pizza…?

She asked looking at Jimin with a pout and he chuckled while nodding his head. 

Jimin: Sure. You order it and I will take a quick shower okay?

He said and Y/N nodded with a smile giving him a brief thankful hug before pulling away and letting him go. 

Y/N ordered the pizza online as she sat on the couch browsing through K-Dramas on Netflix. Suddenly the doorbell rang and Y/N rushed to the door thinking it was Pizza. As she opened the door she saw Jade, Jaehyun, Jacob and Scarlett standing at the door looking at her with a smile.

Jade: Hey!

She said and pulled Y/N into a hug and she hugged back with a smile.

Y/N: Come On in.

She said and all of them walked in, their eyes wandering around the place.

Y/N: Jimin’s taking a shower, he will be out soon though.

She said as she sat back down on the couch. Jaehyun sat beside her and Scarlett, Jade and Jacob sat on the couch next to theirs. Just then Jimin walked down the stairs, hair still slightly wet as he ran his fingers through his hair. Y/N looked up at him as her eyes raked his body up and down. Her eyes met his as her cheeks flushed with embarrassment of being caught staring at him while he smirked in return. She looked away clearing her throat and Jimin chuckled before sitting down beside her on the couch. The doorbell rang and Y/N squealed.

Y/N: PIZZA!

She yelled as she jumped off the couch before running to the door nearly falling in the process. All of them laughed at her actions as she came back with the boxes of pizza in hand. Placing them on the coffee table she dropped herself on the couch nearly toppling over Jimin but he held her steadily.

Y/N: K-DRAMA TIME!

She said as she scrolled through the dramas on the TV with full concentration. Her eyes stopped on a K-Drama and her jaw dropped. Jade looked at the screen with realization.

Jade: Isn’t That Lee Minho’s new drama?

Y/N: LEE MINHO OPPA!

She screamed making all of them cover their ears. She squealed as she fumbled with the remote before playing the first episode. Her eyes focused on the screen.

Jacob: Can’t we watch that new horror movie-

He stopped when he saw that Y/N was glaring at him. He gulped and looked away while Y/N looked back at the screen with a wide grin. Halfway through the first episode, Y/N, Jade and Scarlett are off the couch and on the floor near the T.V with their pizza slices in hand.

Scarlett: He is so Handsome!

She said as she looked at his figure in the screen. Jacob rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms over his chest before moving to the floor next to her and pulling her onto his lap and wrapping his arms around her waist.

Scarlett: Why are you-

Jacob: Shush! Watch the Drama. 

Jade: He is so perfect isn’t he…?

Y/N: So Perfect, Attractive and Muscular. Wahhh if he wasn’t so much older than me, I would’ve had him be my boyfriend.

She said and Jimin choked on his slice of Pizza while Jaehyun shook his head at her. Jimin looked back at Y/N who was looking at the screen with heart eyes.

He walked up to Y/N as he made her stand up before dragging her back to the couch.

Y/N: Yah! Why did you drag me here-

Jimin: The floor is freezing…you will catch a cold if you stay on the floor any longer.

He said though it was true, it was partly an excuse just to get her to a safe distance from the screen. He wrapped an arm around her as he pulled her closer to him, she didn’t seem to mind as her full focus was on the screen. Jaehyun noticed and he raised an eyebrow at both of them. He turned to Jacob who was sitting right in front of him on the floor looking at him and then back at Jimin and Y/N.

Jaehyun: Have I been missing out on something?

He whispered to Jacob as he gestured between the two who were snuggling close to each other while looking at the screen. Jacob chuckled softly at his friend’s confused state.

Jacob: Oh you have been missing out on a lot but try taking a hint of it. She is your best friend after all.

He said with a sly grin as he looked back at the screen. Jaehyun looked back at the two as he thought hard. His eyes widened as realisation hit him and he looked at the screen trying to get rid of the thoughts.

Y/N: He is so handsome! 

She said and placed her head in the crook of Jimin’s neck as he rolled his eyes at her words.

Jimin: Handsome My ass.

He muttered in annoyance as his grip around her tightened.

Jimin: That’s it! We are watching something else.

He said and Y/N pouted looking at him.

Y/N: Nooooooo.

She said as she tried to grab the remote from his hands but he had already switched over from the K-drama.

Y/N: Rude.

She pouted as she took a big bite of her slice of pizza. Jimin changed the drama and played  ‘Friends’ instead. Y/N looked at the screen while laughing and Jimin looked at her with a soft smile. The adoration he had for her was visible in his dark brown orbs as she munched on her slice of pizza.

Y/N: Moo Point!

She said pointing at Jimin as she threw her head back in laughter. Jimin smiled as he cleaned the edge of her mouth with the pad of his thumb. She stopped laughing as both of them made eye contact, the air around them becoming thicker. She gulped seeing the close proximity and Jimin’s gaze went back and forth between her eyes and her lips. She searched his eyes for some emotion, trying to figure him out in someway, he never revealed much about himself which made her even more curious.

Jimin sighed as he shrugged the thoughts he was having and tore his gaze away from her lips. Jimin cupped her cheeks wiping the remaining part of the cheese which was near the corner of her mouth. She looked at him with her doe eyes which were alluring him to lean closer to her and feel her lips against his but he was holding back. He knew he can’t think selfishly and completely disregard her feelings, he didn’t even know how she felt. Maybe if he knew how she felt things would’ve been easier. 

If it was some other girl, it would’ve been different, he wouldn’t consider the feelings, he would just do what he wanted to just for the fun of it. But this wasn’t just any girl, it was Y/N, the girl who drove him insane. He wouldn’t kiss her for the fun of it but he would do it for the feel of it. The feel of satisfaction, happiness and love which would course through him and make his heart dance with euphoria. Looking back into her eyes, he somehow saw that innocence and confusion in them along with many unanswered questions danced in her orbs which made him curious. Though he did say that he would change for her but he was afraid that he would ruin her, ruin her innocence and her vulnerable heart. His heart ached at the thought and he knew that he couldn’t deny it either because it was all true. His finger tips stroked her cheek gently as a sigh escaped his lips. 

He pulled his hand away from her cheek and moved slightly away from her as he tore his gaze away from her face. He focused on the screen again as now there was a huge gap in between them.

Y/N: Hey, you okay?

She whispered moving closer to him as his breathing became shaky. He turned to face her only to see her right next to him. The gap he had created was now non existent as he looked back at her. Their faces were too close and his breath was fanning her face making a few strands of her hair being pushed back. Y/N’s eyes widened when realisation washed over her as she felt his hand brush over hers.

Jaehyun: Y/N…

He said and Y/N moved back from Jimin and his heart slightly ached at the sight but he didn’t let his expression falter.

Jaehyun: I am taking you to your place…I talked to Javier and told him that I will be driving you there. Plus we haven’t hung out in so long, it feels like we are breaking our best friend code.

He said and Y/N giggled with a slight nod. 

Y/N: That is true…Fine then. Let’s go!

She said enthusiastically as she clapped her hands getting up from the couch. 

Jaehyun: See you later.

He said and Y/N dragged him out before he could say further. Jimin looked at her disappearing figure who didn’t even spare a glance at him as she walked out of the door. It felt odd to him how even the smallest things were affecting him which never affected him in the past. He sighed as he shook his head trying to get rid of those thoughts, he shouldn’t be getting affected by something so minor anyways.

Jaehyun sat in the car as he drove the car away from Jimin’s house. Y/N leaned her head against the car door and Jaehyun glanced at her before looking back at the road.

Jaehyun: So Cupcake…Is there something you should be telling me or are going to tell me…?

He asked cautiously and Y/N turned her head to face him. Thoughts played on repeat in her mind as she looked into her best friend’s eyes. 

Y/N: I…I don’t know.

She said looking away and Jaehyun sighed while pulling over to the edge of the road. He looked over at her as he saw her still looking out of the window.

Jaehyun: I am your best friend…you never hide anything from me. So tell me if you need someone to talk to Y/N-ah.

He said and Y/N heaved a heavy sigh. 

Y/N: Well…I think I like someone…

Jaehyun: But cupcake you like everyone, what is so surprising in that?

Y/N: I-I mean I have feelings for someone…..

She said and Jaehyun’s eyes widened as he moved closer to her, giving her his full attention.

Jaehyun: Really?! Who?!

He said and Y/N hesitated looking at him.

Y/N: Is it really that important haha.

She laughed nervously but Jaehyun wasn’t having it. He held her by her shoulders and looked at her with big eyes.

Jaehyun: You’ve told me too much to back out now! Either you tell me the whole thing or you shouldn’t have told me anything at all in the first place!

Y/N: W-Well….promise you won’t hurt him..?

Jaehyun: Only if he is good enough for you.

He spoke looking at her and she laughed.

Jaehyun: Now Tell me…who is it?

Y/N: Well…. It’s uhm…it’s…

Jaehyun: Say it already!

Y/N: ITS JIMIN!

She said and Jaehyun’s eyes widened and jaw dropped to the floor and he let go of her shoulders.

Jaehyun: What? Park Jimin?

Y/N: Yes.

Jaehyun: When did this happen? 

Y/N: I don’t know when it started…it just happened. It feels different this time J, I never felt this way about BamBam either.

She whispered as her eyes didn’t meet his. His eyes softened as he heard her. He felt extremely happy for her that she was giving fate another chance.

Y/N: He also kissed me this one time and-

Jaehyun: HE WHAT?!

He shouted and Y/N flinched sinking back into her seat.

Y/N: It’s not his fault, he was drunk and I am sure he still doesn’t Remember it.

She whispered and Jaehyun hit his palm on the steering wheel.

Jaehyun: You had your first kiss and didn’t even tell me about it, that’s cold.

He said and Y/N hugged his arm with a smile.

Y/N: I wanted to tell you but, I didn’t know how you would react so I decided against it.

Jaehyun: It’s Fine But no more secrets okay?

Y/N: Okay…During Jade’s party I kissed him.

She said as she looked out of the window but she knew that his jaw was hanging open.

Jaehyun: You kissed him? I don’t believe you, you are the shy type when it comes to skin ship.

Y/N: I was drunk and I don’t know what had gotten into me. I don’t Remember what I had said but I only Remember that I kissed him and then the whole Jinha thing happened.

She waved her hand around and Jaehyun sighed as he turned the key, driving the car once again. 

Jaehyun: Have you confessed to him yet?

Y/N: Confess?! No! Never! 

Jaehyun: And Why is that?

Y/N: I just… I can’t. What if he doesn’t feel that way…it will ruin our friendship forever.

She whispered and Jaehyun raised a brow at her.

Jaehyun: Fine! Don’t confess then. But don’t regret it if he ends up dating another girl and you are left single forever.

Y/N: Dating another girl?

She repeated as her eyes slightly widened when that thought came across her mind. She had never even thought about that and now that she did, millions of questions circled her mind. She clenched her fist as her heart burned with jealousy. Exhaling sharply she slowly spoke.

Y/N: As long as he is happy, I am happy. If he is happy with another girl then that is okay too.

She said feeling her heart clench and break a part bit by bit. She looked out the window taking a deep breath trying not to let such thoughts invade her mind. She has to focus on Jimin’s birthday tomorrow, that is more important. 

Jaehyun didn’t look convinced. She was being too understanding, she needs to be selfish sometimes. 

Jaehyun: Suit yourself. Anyways, why did you want to come to your house anyways?

Y/N: I have One Of Jimin’s birthday presents planned there.

She said as a mischievous smile took over her face and Jaehyun nodded glancing at Y/N before focusing his gaze back on the road. The rest of the drive carried on as they discussed all that has been going on.

{Meanwhile}

Taehyung and Jungkook arrived at the scene as Scarlett and Jade decided to go to Scarlett’s house for sometime. Jimin, Jungkook, Taehyung and Jacob sat together in the living room.

Jacob elbowed Taehyung nodding at him as Taehyung smirked before signaling something to Jungkook. Jungkook cleared his throat and spoke. 

Jungkook: Taehyungie Hyung…You were saying something about Y/N earlier.

He said and Jimin looked at Taehyung with an eyebrow raised as he lay down on the couch, his arm behind his head.

Taehyung: Well, I have talked to Y/N many times and I have seemed to have found such a good connection with her that I am going to ask her out.

He said and Jimin’s eyes widened as he got up from the couch looking at Taehyung as his hands formed into fists on his side.

Jacob: What’s wrong Jimin?

He asked and Jimin cleared his throat sitting back down while shaking his head.

Taehyung: I will ask her out tomorrow and I will make sure to make it special…like she deserves.

He said with a sly smirk as Jimin glared at him. Taehyung sat on the couch right beside Jimin’s and Jimin turned his head leaning close to Taehyung before speaking.

Jimin: Don’t.

Taehyung: What do you mean?

Jimin: Don’t you dare ask her out Taehyung. I am warning you.

Taehyung: And Why shouldn’t I? She is single, no one is courting her, then what is the problem? 

Jimin: Don’t test me Taehyung, when did you even start thinking about any of this?

Taehyung: That should not concern you. Why are you acting this way? What if I ask her out? What if she has feelings for me too-

Jimin held Taehyung’s collar as he jerked Taehyung off the couch. Both of them stood in front of each other as Jacob held Jimin back while Jungkook held Taehyung.

Taehyung: Fighting with your best friend over a girl huh?! So This what it has come to now Jimin-ah?! Why do you care if I ask her out-

Jimin: BECAUSE I LOVE HER DAMMIT!

He said without thinking as everyone’s jaws dropped to the floor at his straightforwardness. Realisation hit Jimin as his whole body became stiff. Silence filled the room as everyone sat back down in their places.

Jacob: We got him boys…!

He said breaking the silence and Taehyung along with Jungkook cheered Making Jimin look at them in utter confusion.

Jimin: Huh?

Taehyung: You admitted that you have feelings for Y/N. I was never going to ask her out, it was just a set up to make you admit it.

He shrugged and Jimin’s jaw hung open as no words escaped his mouth.

Jungkook: I was scared you would actually start beating each other up.

He laughed and Jacob joined him.

Jimin: Dammit!

He cursed as he looked up only to see all of them smirking at him.

Jimin: What?

Taehyung: When are you confessing lover boy?

He teased and Jimin rolled his eyes.

Jimin: I don’t know…not any time soon that’s for sure.

Jacob: You are such a coward!

Taehyung: Suit yourself Jimin-ah. Don’t regret it later when she is walking down the aisle marrying some billionaire or sh*t.

Jimin: F**k off. None of that will happen.

Jungkook: But It will if you don’t make your move Hyung.

Jimin: So what do you want me to do huh, just walk up to her and say, “Hey Y/N! I like you and I want you to forget your past just so you could be with me!” Do you know how selfish that sounds!

He said and Taehyung rolled his eyes while crossing his arms over his chest.

Taehyung: You are really bad at this romantic, love story sh*t.

He said and chuckled while Jimin glared at him.

Jimin: Like you are any better!

Taehyung: Better than you at least.

Jacob: Guys! I am the one who is in a relationship here! Listen to the pro alright…

He said and smirked while leaning against the back of the couch. He turned to Jimin who already had his eyes on Jacob. Jacob sighed as he put his hand on Jimin’s shoulder.

Jacob: Just Tell her. If you don’t tell her soon, you might actually lose her forever. And she deserves to know. It’s her right to know if you have any feelings about her, you owe that to her. 

Jimin looked at Jacob and he saw the honesty reflecting in his eyes which made him nod his head in response. Silence filled the space as Jimin drifted into his thoughts.

“Jimin: What am I going to do?”

{A few hours later}

Jimin sat down on the couch as he looked at the time, it was 10:45 pm. Y/N had been out for hours now and he had started to feel worried. He took a deep breath and pulled his phone out. He searched for her contact and was about to call her up when he heard footsteps approaching the living room.

Jimin watched carefully as Y/N’s tired figure lazily walked to the stairs not even acknowledging his presence. Jimin cleared his throat and Y/N stopped in her tracks as she ran her fingers through her hair. She turned to look at Jimin with half hooded eyes.

Y/N: Hi.

She said, her voice was low as she gave him a small, tired smile. Jimin got up from the couch and stood in front of her.

Jimin: You seem worn out…are you alright?

Y/N: I am great, don’t worry about that. I just cleaned around my house so I am a bit tired.

She said and yawned while stretching her arms trying to push away the tiredness. Jimin nodded as he looked at her face once again trying to get his thoughts straight.

Jimin: Just Tell her Dammit! Just say it!

He repeated to himself as he looked back at her once again.

Jimin: Actually Y/N…I needed to tell you something-

Y/N: Can it wait till tomorrow Chim…I am really tired and can barely think straight. Let’s talk tomorrow okay?

She said and walked away before he could respond. Jimin stood there confused at her odd behaviour. She was acting rather distant which confused him and made his stomach flip. He shook his head trying to remove the negativity from his thoughts. He looked back at the staircase as he had lost the courage that he had a few minutes ago.

Jimin: There is no point of confessing anyways, it will just complicate things further.

He sighed and put his hands in his pockets as he walked up the stairs and getting into his room. Y/N peeked from her room as she heard The door of Jimin’s room close. A cheeky grin spread across her face as she slowly tip toed down the stairs before opening the front door. 

Taehyung: Did he catch on or was he suspicious?

He whispered as Jungkook, Jacob and Scarlett followed behind him.

Y/N: I am a good actor so, no he didn’t suspect a thing.

She smiled proudly as she carefully closed the door behind them and Jacob rolled his eyes.

Jacob: So much for being modest.

He said and Y/N swatted his arm while Scarlett laughed softly.

Scarlett: Okay Okay! Here is the cake you baked. Good thinking when you left it my place.

She said and gave Y/N the cake as she curtsied jokingly making them laugh softly.

Jungkook: Less talking more walking! Let’s go it’s almost midnight! 

He said as all of them tip toed up the stairs.

Jimin sat on his bed as he scrolled through his phone in utter annoyance. So many texts were popping up on his screen but he just swiped them without reading.

Jimin: Why the hell is everyone texting me all at once!

He said in frustration as he threw his phone across the bed while it kept on buzzing. He heard a soft knock on the door and he sighed.

Jimin: Come in.

He said as Taehyung slowly snaked his arm through the small gap of the door, switching all the lights off.

Jimin: What are you-

Before he could complete, the door opened as the golden glow of the candles illuminated the room. Y/N held the cake in her hands as she slowly walked to Jimin.

Y/N: Happy Birthday Jimin!

She said and Jimin’s eyes widened as realisation washed over him. He finally understood why everyone was texting him all at once. Of course, it was his birthday. Everyone started to sing and Jimin smiled as he saw Y/N sit down next to him on the bed with the cake in hand.

Jimin: How did you know?

He asked as he looked at her face which glowed even brighter with the light of the candles.

Y/N: Of course I knew! Why wouldn’t I?

She giggled and Jimin smiled as he felt his heart swell at her gesture.

Y/N: Make a wish and blow the candles!

She said and Jimin chuckled while nodding his head. He closed his eyes and blew on the candles while everyone clapped their hands.

Jimin cut the cake as Y/N took the slice placing it to his lips and he looked at her with twinkling eyes. He didn’t break eye contact as he took a bite of the cake.

Taehyung: Y/N made the cake herself you know Jimin-ah.

Jungkook: She was working hard all day to make it perfect.

Jimin looked at Y/N and Y/N looked away as her cheeks tinted crimson.

 

Y/N: I-It is no big deal. Everyone deserves for their birthday to be special.

Jimin: Thank You Y/N…

He said and Y/N’s eyes met his as she put the cake on top of the nightstand.

Jimin: Thank You for everything…

He said and both of them lost themselves in each others eyes once again. Jacob, Scarlett and Jungkook looked back and forth between the two who silently stared into each other’s eyes. Jacob cleared his throat making both of them snap out of their trance.

Jacob: We should get going. We will see you tomorrow. There is a lot that is to happen.

Y/N: SHUSH! ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A SURPRISE IDIOT!

She said and Jacob rolled his eyes playfully before grabbing Scarlett’s wrist and wrapping his arm around her waist.

Jungkook: We should leave too Hyung.

Taehyung: Yeah…I am exhausted.

Scarlett: See you tomorrow Y/N.

She said as all of them left leaving Jimin and Y/N alone in the room. Y/N looked at Jimin as she got up from the bed.

Y/N: Wait here.

She said as she dashed out of his room. She slowly walked back in through the door with her hands behind her back as Jimin raised his brow. Y/N stood in front of him. She covered his eyes with one hand and the other hand was still behind her back. 

Y/N: Give me your hand and don’t peek.

She said and Jimin chuckled while placing his palm in front of her and she placed a box on top of it. Jimin opened his eyes and Y/N smiled her brightest smile.

Y/N: Open it!

She said as her eyes were bright and her smile was dazzling. She sat on top of the bed beside Jimin as Jimin examined the box in his palm. He slowly unwrapped the wrapping paper as he saw a small box. He slowly opened the box which revealed a delicate bracelet. Jimin carefully took it out and examined it with a smile while Y/N bit her lips nervously waiting for his reaction.

Y/N: What do you think?

She asked and Jimin smiled as he tried wearing it with one hand.

Y/N: Let me help you…

She reached out to him as she hooked the bracelet’s ends together.

Jimin: It’s beautiful, Thank You.

Y/N: Really?

Jimin: Definitely.

Y/N: I have the matching one! See…

She said as she pulled her sleeve up revealing the exact same bracelet and Jimin’s smile widened at the sight. 

Y/N: I got us a matching one and if we put our wrists together…

She said as she put her wrist close to Jimin’s and the little charms got pulled together joining the two bracelets together. Jimin looked at the gift in awe as he looked back at Y/N who was already looking at him.

Y/N: It’s the magnet that attracts the two bracelets together. I love it.

She says as she slowly detached their bracelets and smiled.

Jimin: I will never take it off, it is the most precious present that I have ever received.

He said and Y/N felt the warmth of his tone and his words which made her heart flutter.

Y/N: If you won’t neither will I. 

They both smiled and Y/N giggled as an idea came to her mind.

Y/N: Let these bracelets be a reminder to both of us that we will always be there for each other no matter what happens. We will always trust each other no matter what anyone says.

Jimin: Forever and always…

He added and pulled Y/N to his chest as he wrapped his arms around her tightly. Y/N smiled as she felt her pulse quicken at the contact and she closed her eyes hugging him back.

Y/N: Happy Birthday Jimin~

She whispered and Jimin smiled as he inhaled her vanilla scent.

Jimin: This is the Best Birthday I have ever had. Thank you.

Y/N: Don’t thank me just as yet…

She said and pulled away from him with a smile. He furrowed his brows and Y/N smirked.

Y/N: There is a lot to happen tomorrow…be ready birthday boy.

She said and The smile on Jimin’s lips danced with Amusement.

Jimin: Can’t wait…

Y/N: Good Night Chim…

She said as she got up from the bed and turned around but Jimin held her wrist stopping her. She furrowed her brows turning to him who was already looking at her.

Jimin: Stay with me tonight?

He asked and Y/N’s heart fluttered at his words. His voice was low and eyes were pleading as Y/N sighed while nodding.

She lay down beside him and both of them looked at each other with a smile.

Y/N: Sleep now…Tomorrow is going to be a long day…

Jimin: Goodnight Y/N-ah~

Y/N: Goodnight Jimin-ah~

He put a strand of hair behind her ear as he moved closer to her before wrapping his arm around her waist, pulling her in close and she smiled while closing her eyes. They both were so used to it that nothing seemed uncomfortable or out of place. Jimin looked at her features once again before closing his eyes and his grip around her tightened. 

The unspoken words were spoken in the beauty of the silence and In that very moment both of them thought in unison...

Y/N: “I love you…”

Jimin: “I love you…”
